NR-1 in Virtual Reality: psychosocial risk management that produces evidence

NR-1 now requires your company to identify and manage psychosocial risks in the PGR. Train leaders and teams with immersive VR: real empathy, safe practice and an auditable trail for inspections.

NR-1 has changed. Psychosocial risks are now a legal obligation.

The NR-1 update added psychosocial risk factors — harassment, overload, stress and conflict — to Occupational Risk Management (GRO) and the PGR, with full enforcement expected in 2026. Lectures and booklets do not change behavior or produce evidence. Virtual reality puts the leader inside the situation: they feel, decide and learn, and every decision is recorded.

Frequently Asked Questions about NR-1 & Psychosocial Risks

Everything about managing NR-1 psychosocial risks in virtual reality

What changed in NR-1 regarding psychosocial risks?

The NR-1 update now requires psychosocial risk factors (harassment, overload, stress, conflict, among others) to be identified, assessed and controlled within Occupational Risk Management (GRO) and recorded in the PGR. The requirement took effect in 2025, with full enforcement expected in 2026.

When will NR-1 inspections start being enforced?

The obligation to manage psychosocial risks is already in force. The initial period was advisory and educational, and enforcement with possible penalties is expected in 2026. That is why it is best to structure the program and generate evidence as soon as possible.

How does VR training help comply with NR-1?

Immersive training builds behavior (empathy, harassment prevention, stress management) and records each participant's decisions, producing an auditable evidence trail that can be part of the PGR documentation and demonstrate active risk management to inspectors.

Does VR training replace the psychosocial risk assessment or report?

No. VR is the training and behavioral development layer. Risk identification and assessment (questionnaires, reports, risk inventory) remain with qualified professionals; our solution complements the program and strengthens the evidence of control actions.

What equipment is required?

Standalone VR headsets (Meta Quest 3/3S or Pico 4 Enterprise), with no PC needed. Revirtua provides kits for purchase or rental, with content pre-installed and remote management via MDM.

Can the platform be customized for my company or consultancy?

Yes. The solution is white-label: visual identity, language and scenarios can be adapted to your sector and culture, and reports are delivered ready to be part of the PGR documentation.
